We were not able to test the moniter. Nonetheless, these typwriters with the moniter are very rare! This typewriter would be a very fun refurbishing project. The original instruction manuel is included.

I powered it on and it beeps a handful of times then nothing. I repeated the process 3 times. It beeps then does nothing I am selling this unit as-is. Works great all keys function. This typewriter is working. Types well, clear and dark with all keys working, but does have some issues, and could use servicing. Mechanical issues include, When typing after getting halfway thru a line the typewriter rings and stops.
Also this typewriter is having trouble feeding the paper through straight when the return key is pressed. As for Condition issues the Measuring stick has come unglued and falls off if not held. As well insulating padding on underside of top cover is decomposing.
